Ishika delivering a Ted Talk.
“Value of a Hobby You Refuse to Get Better At” – Ted Talk delivered at TEDxUCSD Winter Salon 2024.

I’m Ishika Rathi, a researcher and writer working at the intersection of cognitive science, language, and Human–AI interaction. I study how people think and create with AI. My focus is not only on what is produced but also on the cognitive processes that unfold during Human-AI collaboration.

My goal is to design Human-AI systems of symbiotic co-intelligence. I am motivated to develop tools that act as cognitive partners, scaffolding and augmenting human reasoning, creativity, and expression instead of replacing them.
